Studio Assistant Intern (Part-Time)
Temporary part-time position / 10-15 hours per week for 3 - 6 months
Job Description:
Studio Laloc is seeking a part-time Studio Assistant Intern to support the day-to-day operations of our interior design studio. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning how a professional design studio functions behind the scenes, with a focus on organization, studio management, and project support.
Position Overview
The intern will assist with maintaining our materials library, supporting installations, organizing studio resources, and helping with general operational tasks that keep projects running smoothly.This position provides exposure to the operational side of a working design studio and is a great opportunity for someone interested in interiors, design business operations, or creative studio management.
Please note: This is not a design position, and we are prioritizing applicants with previous field experience in project management, construction coordination, or operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain the studio materials library (fabric, finish, and product samples)
Assist with installation days, including unpacking, organizing, and preparing items for placement
Pick up and deliver samples to and from the Seattle Design Center and local showrooms
Support general studio organization and upkeep
Take meeting notes during site visits and internal project meetings
Assist in preparing client presentation binders and materials
Help track and organize product inventory and samples within the studio
Maintain and organize project-specific client bins and materials
Supporting the design team with any administrative tasks for client presentations
Assisting the principal designer on various tasks and projects in relation to studio and client projects
Qualifications:
Experience:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple small tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Interest in interior design, creative studios, or design operations
Positive attitude and willingness to help with a variety of tasks
Ability to lift and move boxes or materials when assisting with installations
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local sample pickups and deliveries preferred
Commitment to respecting client privacy and maintaining confidentiality around studio operations and project information.
Must be local to Seattle, role will be in office

Schedule:
Part-time, flexible hours depending on studio needs. Temporary part-time position / 10-15 hours per week for 3 months.
Studio Laloc offices are open Monday-Thursday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
Compensation:
$21.50 per hour
