Studio Laloc is a full-service interior and architectural design firm based in Seattle and New York City. Founded by Lauren Lothrop Caron, the studio works on both renovations and new construction projects, guiding each one from concept through completion with a deep focus on craft and narrative.

Our work spans historic homes in need of restoration, as well as newly built spaces seeking a sense of story. We specialize in creating layered, livable interiors—infused with meaning, designed to endure. Whether refining architectural details or selecting the perfect furnishings, we approach each element with care, intention, and a discerning eye.

Rooted in a love of old houses and storied interiors, our philosophy balances reverence for the past with a fresh perspective. The results are spaces that feel nostalgic yet never dated—timeless in their beauty, personal in their expression. We blend antiques with modern heirlooms, color with restraint, and pattern with purpose. Our goal is always the same: to design homes that are as soulful as they are functional, and deeply reflective of the people who live in them.

Our Founder, Lauren Lothrop Caron

Lauren Lothrop Caron is the founder and principal designer of Studio Laloc, named for the initials of her own name—a subtle nod to the deeply personal nature of her work.

Her design sensibility was shaped by her upbringing in an 1801 New England colonial layered with color, character, and charm. Early exposure to house museums—from ornate mansions to modest cottages—fueled a lasting appreciation for spaces with history.

Lauren earned her degree in Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design from FIT and spent over a decade in New York City creating imaginative, theatrical displays for iconic luxury brands including Tiffany & Co., Ralph Lauren, and Bergdorf Goodman.

Today, she leads Studio Laloc from Seattle and New York, specializing in full-service residential design that blends architectural integrity with rich, personal narrative.

Lauren lives in Seattle with her husband and their greyhound, Elsie de Woof. A devoted animal advocate and lifelong champion of sustainable design, she brings care and conscience to every project.
