Every project is rooted in the belief that great design connects us to something larger: history, memory, and a sense of place.
Studio Laloc is a full-service interior and architectural design studio based in Seattle and New York City. Founded by Lauren Lothrop Caron, the firm creates homes that blend history, craftsmanship, and artistry in ways that feel deeply personal and timeless.
Studio Laloc’s work is defined by a reverence for heritage and a belief that interiors should tell the story of those who inhabit them. The studio’s projects span historic restorations and newly built residences that long for a sense of history. Each space is layered with meaning and designed to endure, balancing architectural integrity with rich narrative and comfort.
Studio Laloc is known for its ability to weave together old and new with confidence and restraint. Antiques and modern heirlooms, traditional forms and contemporary details, bold pattern and calming color coexist in harmony. The result is an aesthetic that feels nostalgic yet never dated, timeless in its beauty and deeply human in spirit.
Lauren’s early years in an 1801 New England colonial home instilled a love of craftsmanship, architecture, and story. After earning her degree in Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design from FIT, she spent over a decade in New York creating imaginative theatrical displays and environments for iconic luxury brands including Tiffany & Co., Ralph Lauren, and Bergdorf Goodman. That background in design and storytelling continues to inform her work today, where every detail is considered and every project begins with a sense of place.
Recognized for her distinctive perspective, Lauren has been named to The Expert’s Top 40 List for two consecutive years, and Studio Laloc’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, The Wall Street Journal, House & Garden UK, House Beautiful, Living Etc., The Telegraph, Homes & Gardens UK, Seattle Met, and Domino.
Lauren leads her studio from Seattle, where she lives with her husband and their greyhound, Elsie de Woof. A devoted animal advocate and lifelong champion of sustainable design, she brings care and conscience to every project.
